Chelsea host Hull at Stamford Bridge in the final game of the Premier League weekend. The league leaders will go into this game knowing they can extend their advantage over Liverpool, Tottenham and Manchester City, who all dropped points on Saturday. A home match against Hull should provide Antonio Conte’s men with the perfect opportunity to pull even further away from the chasing pack.
Hull have looked better since Marco Silva took over. They managed to get a good win over Swansea in the FA Cup and put in a respectable performance in the League Cup against Manchester United. Following that performance, the Tigers came back from a goal down to get an impressive victory over Bournemouth.
This means that Hull will come into the game high in confidence and they should take heart from Swansea’s performance at Anfield on Saturday. If they play anything like the Swans did, then you never know what can happen. Chelsea’s defense has been a bit dodgy in recent weeks and it’s clear that the Blues back line has some improving to do. Goals should be the order of the day as both teams are capable of putting the ball in the back of the net, but of late neither team have been great at the back.
