DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup-January 23
High Salary SG
Nicolas Batum-Charlotte Hornets (7,700): Batum has been returning to the form that made him a DFS star before a knee injury earlier this month. He has at least 38 fantasy points in three of his last four and is coming off a well-ballanced 16-9-6 with four steals for 44.75 fantasy points on Saturday against the Nets. He also had over 40 fantasy points against Washington when the two teams met in mid-December with 20-5-8, two steals, and a block. At under 8K, Batum is low-risk with high upside at your SG/SF spot tongiht against Washington..∗∗∗
Bradley Beal-Washington Wizards (6,700): On the other side of that Hornets-Wizards matchup, I like Beal as well who will be trying to build on his 17-5-4 against Detroit when he had 35.25 fantasy points. He has misplaced his outside shot going just 1-21 in his last three games, but hopefully he can find it for tonight’s game. The Hornets allow the sicth-most fantasy points per game to opposing SG, so Beal has upside despite the risk of his lack of form.∗∗
Austin Rivers-Los Angeles Clippers (5,900): Over his last few games, Rivers has been steady but not spectacular even in an increased role helping to fill in for the injured Chris Paul. In his last four games, he has at least 25 fantasy points but he hasn’t reached 30 fantasy points in any of those contests. However, if their is a matchup that would allow him to go off, tonight’s in Atlanta would be it. The Hawks allow the fourth-most fantasy points pre game to opposing PG, so Rivers should find space to operate giving him a very high ceiling for someone priced just under 6K.∗∗∗∗
Tyreke Evans-New Orleans Pelicans (5,900): In an ugly loss, New Orleans was crushed by the Nets (yes, those Nets) on Friday and Evans only ended up playing 13 minutes while going 2-10 and finishing with just 8-4-0 and just 16.5 fantasy points. Before that letdown, though, Evans was rolling with at least 25 fantasy points in four straight including a 29-4-3 for 48.5 fantasy points and 18-4-5 for 38 fantasy points last Wednesday. I see him as high-risk, high-reward tonight against the Cavs.∗∗
Dion Waiters-Miami Heat (5,700): Waiters comes in with much better form than Evans after he dropped 33 points and 44.25 fantasy points against the Bucks on Saturday. He has at least 25 fantasy points in four of his last five games which includes a 8-3-8 line against the Warriors for 27.25 fantasy points. As he faces Golden State again tonight, expect him to take a ton of shots as usual. If they’re dropping, he’ll be a great play once again.∗∗∗
