Caris LeVert absolutely destroyed Wayne Ellington with this crossover and Ellington should probably just call it a career now

There are few things more embarrassing not just in the sport of basketball, but in all of sports in general, than getting crossed up so bad on the court as a defender that you end up on your ass. It has to be a demoralizing feeling having that happen to you, something that Wayne Ellington can probably attest to after Wednesday night.

On Wednesday, the Brooklyn Nets hosted the Miami Heat, and during the end of the third quarter is where Ellington suffered one of the worst embarrassments of his entire basketball life.

Ellington was crossed up so badly by Nets rookie Caris LeVert that not only did he hit the deck, but he near flew off the court altogether.

I mean … it doesn’t really get any worse than that when it comes to getting crossed up, right? There’s having your ankles broken and then there’s what happened here — which was just about having the ankles removed altogether. Poor Wayne Ellington, as this is something that no one will forget anytime soon, if ever.

With these two on the court, this wasn’t the most looked forward to game by any means on the NBA slate Wednesday night, but it definitely gave us what will more than likely be the highlight of the evening.

Only good news for Ellington is that he can only go up after something like that taking place.
