According to ESPN.com, LeBron James had a meeting with Cavaliers general manager David Griffin.
Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James has been known to deliver passive-aggressive comments to stir the pot. James and the Cavaliers dropped five of their last seven following their loss on Monday night to the Pelicans but are still in good hands in terms of standings.
Still, a top spot in the Eastern Conference isn’t enough, according to James. The Cavaliers lost to the New Orleans Pelicans Monday night and he sounded off. Here are a few of his comments via ESPN.
"“We need a f—ing playmaker,” James said. “I’m not saying you can just go find one, like you can go outside and see trees. I didn’t say that.”"
As expected, James’ more direct comments reached head coach Tyronn Lue and the front office brass. A swift meeting was held, in which Cavaliers GM David Griffin expressed disappointment in Jame’s words.

"Griffin, a team source told ESPN, expressed his disappointment in James for the manner in which he shared his thoughts on the roster.Griffin is steadfast in sticking to the plan he has had in place for months to acquire the backup point guard or playmaker. In other words, James’ statement will not force Griffin’s hand or cause him to speed up his search for what the Cavs need."
While James could be correct, he should still look on the bright side that his Cavaliers are still the team to beat in the East. James and his behavior have been long allowed; he’s expressed his disappointment without a word of punishment in the past.

If James wants to reach the front office, maybe a trip to them could make things a lot better. Instead, it’s earned him a meeting with the brass. Who knows, though, James hope for a playmaker could come soon.
