FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup-January 25

High Value C
Steven Adams-Oklahoma City Thunder (5,500): Adams returned from a concussion just in time to face a brutal matchup with the Jazz on Monday. He had 9-6-1 and four blocks against “The Stifle Tower” and finished with 23.7 fantasy points. The most promising thing, though, was that he logged 37 minutes and looked strong on defense. If you need a play at center under 6K tonight, Adams would be my top choice in a great matchup against the Pelicans who have allowed the sixth-most fantasy points this season opposing centers.∗∗∗∗
Greg Monroe-Milwaukee Bucks (5,400): Monroe has great upside, but he can be boom or bust at times. For example, he had been held under 20 fantasy points in three straight games before going off on Monday for 17-10-1 and 34.5 fantasy points against the Rockets. Some of the fluctuation in Monroe’s production is due to Jason Kidd’s ever-adjusting rotation which makes Monroe a volatile but promising play tonight against the 76ers.∗∗
Zaza Pachulia-Golden State Warriors (4,300): Pachulia has at least 22 fantasy points in four of his last five games and is getting pretty solid playing time every night. He had 27 minutes against Miami on Monday and finished with 6-9-2 for 22.8 fantasy points. Pchulia gets a good matchup tonight against the Hornets who allow the fifth-most fantasy points per game to opposing centers in the NBA this season.∗∗∗
Lucas Nogueira-Toronto Raptors (3,800): Even with Patrick Patterson back and Jared Sullinger starting, Nogueira found a nice role for himself last night against the Spurs. He ended up playing 26 minutes and finishing with 6-10-1 with two blocks and 25.5 fantasy points. He has exactly that many fantasy points in each of his last two games and has at least 18 fantasy points in each of his last four healthy games. If he keeps finding minutes he’ll be the best cheap play in the middle, but he’ll have to keep earning playing time since the Raptors front court has suddenly become a very crowded place.∗∗
