The South Carolina Gamecocks enter National Signing Day with the No. 20 class. Here are the five guys that the Gamecocks will need to land on February 1st.

The South Carolina Gamecocks are facing a crucial recruiting cycle for head coach Will Muschamp. After leading the Gamecocks to a bowl game in his first year in Columbia, Muschamp needs to recruit the type of players he needs to get the South Carolina program back on track.

Entering National Signing Day 2017, South Carolina has the No. 20 recruiting class, according to 247Sports. South Carolina has 22 commitments, including five early enrollees and one national letter of intent signed. The Gamecocks’ 2017 recruiting class is composed of four four-star recruits and 18 three-star recruits.

If South Carolina can hang on, Muschamp should have a solid top-20 class heading into 2017. It will take some time for him to get this thing humming, but here are the five guys Muschamp must land on Wednesday, Feb. 1 to stay in the top 20.

The 2017 recruiting class seems to be a deep one at offensive tackle. An SEC team can never have enough strong talent on the offensive line. One player that Muschamp can try to land on National Signing Day is offensive tackle Tony Gray from Lawrenceville, Georgia.

Gray played his high school ball at Georgia high school powerhouse Grayson. He is uncommitted heading into National Signing Day. Gray is the No. 44 player from Georgia, the No. 45 offensive tackle, and the No. 428 player nationally. 247Sports has him as a three-star recruit with a 0.8763 grade.

Landing Gray is a long-shot for Muschamp, but Gray is warming up to the idea of playing for South Carolina. Florida, Georgia, Ole Miss, and South Carolina seem to be the four schools that could land his commitment on National Signing Day.
