Some parody writers had some fun paying tribute to Super Bowl LI-bound Tom Brady and the New England Patriots.

Tom Brady is preparing to play in his seventh Super Bowl game, which will take place in Houston during the first week of February. Super Bowl LI also marks the sixth different team standing in the way of Brady’s fifth ring.

Regardless of the glitz and glamour on the field, Brady also boasts some exposure off it. In the most recent incident, a couple of parody writers re-engineered “Closer” by The Chainsmokers and made it their own …

Just as long as it featured Tom.

Ian Biggs, the mastermind behind the remix, is obviously chanting in support of New England. In addition, Biggs is also hoping that Julian Edelman will make a strong case for the team. After all, he’s Brady’s favorite target, along with Danny Amendola. The songwriter did, however, throw some major shade at Gronkowski, who — unsurprisingly — is inactive for Super Bowl LI.

Not many are expecting this year’s Super Bowl to be a competition. New England’s opponent, the Atlanta Falcons, are probably receiving more attention than their AFC champions counterparts, but it’s not positive. Atlanta has one of the smaller fan bases in the NFL and hasn’t been to a Super Bowl in 18 years (not counting SB LI). The only thing that may be favoring the Falcons is that Houston is closer to Atlanta than New England, which could mean more Falcons fans.

To Patriots fans, that kind of publicity is good news. Though a win isn’t guaranteed for the Patriots, Tom Brady is a highly desired quarterback with limitless potential. He also has plenty of fuel left in the tank thanks to his ruthless regime. This serves as a hype video not just for amusement, but as a message to Brady to further solidify his run to Canton. Just don’t expect this song to crack the Billboard Hot 100 any time soon.
