3. Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, 3-star ATH (Hampton, Va.)

Michigan State has been the recipient of three flips over the past week and is hoping to do the same with Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah although he did officially decommit from Virginia this week. He is listed as an athlete but can play both linebacker and safety at the next level, both positions of need for the Spartans.

The linebacker position group has been a priority for the coaching staff to attempt to fill and it has done so, minimally, with Antjuan Simmons, Darien Clemons and Connor Heyward, depending on where they plan to use the latter two prospects.

Owusu-Koramoah just named a final two of Michigan State and Notre Dame but it looks like the Fighting Irish might lead the way for his services. He did, however, take an official visit to East Lansing on Jan. 20 and decommit from Virginia just two days later, but he has an official planned for Jan. 27 to South Bend, which could seal the deal.

The Spartans were the latest to offer the Hampton, Va., native back on Dec. 12 and that’s telling of how highly the program is regarded if they can jump to the top of the list for a committed kid just one month after extended a scholarship.

The three-star athlete is ranked the No. 323 overall prospect and No. 19 athlete in the class. He is planning on making his announcement on Feb. 1 for National Signing Day.
