Tom Brady’s father, Tom Brady Sr., is unsurprisingly not happy with Roger Goodell over the Deflategate investigation.
After the issue dragged on and on for many months, many NFL fans wanted Deflategate to be over and not talked about anymore. Well, Tom Brady’s father, Tom Brady Sr. is still not pleased with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell over Deflategate and his investigation into the issue.
Brady Sr. spoke exclusively to San Francisco area KRON-TV about his son and the Deflategate scandal. It’s understandable and not shocking that Brady’s father would stick up for him when talking to KRON.
Brady Sr.’s opinion isn’t an unpopular one, especially in the New England area. Overall, like many Patriots fans and team owner Robert Kraft thought, Brady Sr. thought his son was unfairly targeted over the incident. However, the league’s four-game suspension was accepted by Brady. The elite QB moved on to focus on helping the team succeed and do it’s best throughout the season.
In addition to voicing his opinion about the investigation, Brady Sr. reacted to Goodell’s comments about a possible interaction between him and the Patriots QB. “It should be an honor because somebody that has Roger Goodell’s ethics doesn’t belong on any stage that Tom Brady is on,” Brady said to KRON-TV.
A Patriots win would force Commissioner Goodell to hand the trophy to Brady. Last week, the commissioner elected to go to the NFC Championship rather than the AFC Championship. Many thought this was due to Goodell and Brady being at odds given the Deflategate situation. Nonetheless, Goodell will be in Houston for Super Bowl LI and be present when the trophy is presented to the winning team.

All in all, anything Deflategate related will be put aside during Super Bowl LI. All of this happened a year ago. Now it’s time to focus on the Patriots taking on the Atlanta Falcons in the final NFL game of the season.
