During North Carolina’s loss to Miami, Roy Williams threw a chair in disgust. Having just been sidelined by a chair, Enes Kanter couldn’t help but chime in.
It was a day to forget for North Carolina and their fans. It’s been an up-and-down season for them, but they were still expected to take care of business against the Miami Hurricanes, who were 3-4 in conference play. Instead, they got outplayed in all facets of the game en route to a 77-62 loss.
At one point during the game, Tar Heels coach Roy Williams got extremely frustrated. That’s why, during a timeout, he was seen yelling at his players and throwing a chair in disgust. Some people may say he went overboard, but he was just saying what was on the mind of every Tar Heels fan.
However, Roy still needed something to make light of this incredibly frustrating game. Enter Enes Kanter, who knows a thing or two about how dangerous chairs can be:
I know man, I hate them chairs too 💺

Roy Williams is usually a very stoic guy. This is a man who has collapsed on the sideline, then come back as if nothing even happened. So for him to go off like this on the sideline tells you everything about how North Carolina played.
As for Kanter, he’s now out 6-8 weeks after he infamously punched a chair. It was a pretty boneheaded way to get hurt, but it’s good to see that he’s making light of the situation. Even though the Oklahoma City Thunder revolve around Russell Westbrook, Kanter’s been having a fine season, and the team will be wishing for a speedy recovery from him.

If there’s one fact North Carolina can take solace in, it’s that they’re not the only top team to go down. Six of the teams currently in the Top 10 suffered losses this week, including Florida State, who lost twice. While it feels like every game is important now, what matters is making it to March Madness. There’s plenty of time left, and the players will go out to make sure this loss doesn’t define their season.
