The Colorado Buffaloes have the No. 32 recruiting class heading into 2017 National Signing Day. Here are the five recruits Colorado must land this week.
2016 was a great year for the Colorado Buffaloes football program. In his fourth season in Boulder, head coach Mike MacIntyre saw his team go 10-4, win the Pac-12 South, and finish as a ranked team for the first time in over a decade.
It has helped Colorado on the recruiting trails, as the Buffaloes have the No. 32 recruiting class heading into National Signing Day on Wednesday, Feb. 1. According to 247Sports, Colorado has 24 recruits in its 2017 class.
Three have signed national letters of intent. The Buffaloes have two four-star recruits and 22 three-star recruits. If MacIntyre wants to get his team into the top-30 or even the late 20s, here are the five guys he’ll need to have sign with Colorado before February 1.
To win in college football, a team must first win in the trenches. One of the guys to keep an eye on for his commitment on National Signing Day is defensive tackle Damion Daniels from Dallas.
Daniels is the No. 48 defensive tackle, the No. 87 player from Texas and the No. 628 player in the 2017 high school recruit class. 247Sports has Daniels as a three-star recruit with a 0.8596 grade. He remains uncommitted heading into National Signing Day.
For Daniels, it seems that it will come down to two Power 5 programs to garner his commitment: Colorado and Nebraska. While Nebraska is his leader, don’t be surprised if MacIntyre is able to land this big defensive tackle from Dallas to help bolster his recruiting class.
