MacIntyre is making it a point to find elite football talent from Texas to keep Colorado afloat in the Pac-12. One of the guys that he has gained a commitment from already is wide receiver Laviska Shenault from DeSoto, Texas.

Shenault is the No. 67 player from Texas, the No. 72 wide receiver and the No. 481 player from the 2017 recruiting class. 247Sports has Shenault as a three-star recruit with a 0.8701 grade. He committed to Colorado back on April 21.

It’s highly unlikely that Shenault will flip his commitment, despite having 16 offers from other schools. He has been committed to Colorado for so long anything other than a February 1Ā fax from him would be a massive disappointment for the Buffaloes program.

MacIntyre will want to win on both sides of the trenches to keep his Colorado program on the up and up. One player he must keep for his 2017 recruiting class is offensive tackle Grant Polley from Denton, Texas.

Polley is the No. 33 offensive tackle, the No. 50 player from Texas, and the No. 355 player in the 2017 high school recruiting class. 247Sports has Polley as a three-star recruit with a 0.8871 grade. He committed to Colorado on July 11th.

Many thought that Polley would commit to the Texas Longhorns, but his surprise commitment to the Buffaloes has never wavered. While Texas head coach Tom Herman could be making a late push to keep Polley in-state, his commitment to Colorado is growing increasingly certain.
