As we inch closer to March Madness, we will look at who has best chances of making a run out of the Big 12 Conference

Conference play is in full swing, and we now are starting to get a feel for who these teams are and how dangerous they can be. The Big 12, like most years, looks to be a strong conference from top to bottom.

Here are your Big 12 power rankings for Week 12 of the college basketball season.

We might as well just lock Texas into the bottom of the Big 12 power rankings for the rest of the season. This is a lost year, and while they went 1-1, they beat a below average Oklahoma team at home, on a game-winning, buzzer-beating shot. They then proceeded to lose to out of conference, average SEC foe Georgia. They host Texas Tech this week and head head to TCU in two games they will likely be underdogs in. 1-1 feels like a small victory for this week and 2-0 would look like a miracle. Considering the level of competition they are facing, it is sad to say that this is what is expected out of Texas.

Oklahoma continues their rebuild year as they inch closer to Texas at the bottom of the conference. They blew a great chance to keep their season alive and lost to Texas on a last-second shot. They then hosted a tough Florida Gators team and showed their true colors. The Gators dismantled Oklahoma from opening tip, and won the road game by 32 points. The Sooners host rival Oklahoma State, and head to Texas Tech to take on a team that is red hot at home. This may be another 0-2 week, and a week that solidifies them next to Texas among the losers of the conference.
