The matchup between 13th-place Burnley and 15th-place Leicester may not be the big ticket of this week’s Premier League matches, but whenever two teams outside the top 10 face off, it’s always an important game.

Burnley enter this match after a 2-1 loss to Arsenal on Jan. 22 and a 2-0 win over Championship side Bristol City in the FA Cup on Jan. 28. Burnley have been enjoying a pretty good season, seeing that they’re 10 points clear of the relegation zone. They’ve even added eight wins to their record — which is more than three teams ahead of them.

Burnley’s midfield did take a big hit when Dean Marney was ruled out for the remainder of the season with an ACL injury last week. Manager Sean Dyche will need to find someone to fill the hole that Marney has occupied all season, which could effect them.

As for Leicester, after a 3-0 defeat to Southampton in their last Premier League match, the Foxes almost lost a FA Cup match to Derby. They were saved by a late Wes Morgan header and settled for a 2-2 draw.

Leicester should have a much needed boost against Burnley with Riyad Mahrez and Islam Slimani back from Africa Cup of Nations duty. Claudio Ranieri’s men should consider this match a crucial one if they want to stay away from the bottom of the table.
