High Value SG

Lou Williams-Los Angeles Lakers (6,200): Williams is in a great matchup tonight against the Nuggets who have allowed more fantasy points to opposing SG than any other team in the NBA this season. Williams has scored 20+ points in five of his last six games with over 37 fantasy points in four of his last six. Williams is a little risky tonight only because D’Angelo Russell will return and crowd the Lakers backcourt, but Williams is still worth a look since he had 42.5 fantasy points against the Nuggets two weeks ago on 24-4-7 and should still find a way to get 25+ minutes especially given his recent production.

Gary Harris-Denver Nuggets (4,800): On the other side of the late-game matchup, Gary Harris is back and getting most of the minutes at SG for the Nuggets. His production has been a little uneven, though, since returning from his most recent injury. Harris had had two good games with over 34 fantasy points and two bad games with under 20 fantasy points. Given the matchup, I expect a good game from Harris tonight in LA. He’ll be a steal at this price if he can approach his 15-8-4 for 35.5 fantasy points against the Suns in his last game.

Garrett Temple-Sacramento Kings (4,200): Temple continues to get plenty of playing time in Sacramento while filling in since Rudy Gay’s injury. Temple has played at least 30 minutes in six of his last seven games, but his production has still been very inconsistent. Temple has at least 18 fantasy points in seven of his last nine games. He is low-risk because he spends so much time on the floor, but he doesn’t have a high ceiling since he hasn’t reached double-digit scoring in three straight games and had grabbed just two total rebounds over that span.

Justin Holiday-New York Knicks (3,200): Holiday has a much higher ceiling than Temple if he is able to pick up the extra playing time from Derrick Rose’s absence. Holiday has at least 21 fantasy points in four of his last six games although he other two have been bad burns of just 6.0 and 4.5 fantasy points. On Sunday in Atlanta, he played 36 minutes in the four-overtime game and finished with 15-9-2 for 33.25 fantasy points. That many minutes won’t be available tonight, but Holiday should get enough run to be a solid inexpensive option.∗∗∗
