DraftKings NHL Picks:
Mattias Ekholm – NAS (D) – $3600
Nashville will travel to Pittsburgh tonight, to take on the Penguins in their first game after the All-Star break. Mattias Ekholm is extremely under-priced, given his time as the first defensive pairing and time on the top power play unit. Ekholm is averaging over 25 minutes per game this month, and recorded just under 29 minutes, in his last outing. If he continues to see time on the top power play unit, he’ll be an excellent value option.

Evander Kane – BUF (W) – $4800
Like clockwork, Evander Kane earns a sub $5000 price tag, yet again. In case you’re new to this, Kane continues to stay under-priced due to poor matchups and time on the third line. Even as a third liner, Kane is averaging just under 20 minutes per game this year. This is significantly valuable time, that no one else in this price range will see. Kane also provides safety through his volume of shots. On the year, he’s averaging 3.81 shots on goal per game.
James Neal – NAS (W) – $5200
Neal has struggled to find the score sheet after returning from the IR in mid January, but has shown signs of positive regression in recent games. Aside from his most recent game against Columbus, hes averaged 3.6 shots per game in his last five games. It’s also important to note Neal’s salary fluctuation of late. In late December he was priced around $6,400 and is now down a full $1200 from that price. With positive regression likely to come for Neal, this price decrease is something to exploit. He’s currently priced at $7000 on FanDuel, thus making him a relatively incredible bargain on DraftKings.
Blake Wheeler – WPG (W) – $6200
Winnipeg doesn’t have the most appealing match-up tonight, as they take on the St. Louis Blues, but winger, Blake Wheeler, has been a stud regardless of the opponent. Wheeler is significantly discounted due to the matchup, but has been one of the most consistent forwards of late. While consistency alone can be misleading, Wheelers’ consistency is backed up by an increase in time on the ice, and shots on goal. Wheeler is averaging over 20 minutes per game, and 4.15 shots on goal per game, this month.
