Jarez Parks

Weak-Side Defensive End, Sebastian River (Sebastian, FL)

While his interest in Stanford has cooled off considerably, it would still be wise for Shaw to try to reach for Jarez Parks‘ commitment on National Signing Day. He is a weak-side defensive end from Sebastian, Florida.

Parks is the No. 7 weak-side defensive end, the No. 17 player from Florida, and the No. 93 player in the 2017 high school graduating class. 247Sports has Parks as a four-star recruit with a 0.9556 grade. He remains uncommitted heading into National Signing Day.

It seems clear that Parks has narrowed his choice of enrollment down to two Southeastern blue-bloods in the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Florida State Seminoles. Landing Parks seems very difficult for Shaw, but he has been a guy that the Cardinal have wanted for some time. Maybe a late push gets Parks to Palo Alto?

Davis Mills

Pro-Style Quarterback, Greater Atlanta Christian School (Norcross, GA)

Let’s be honest. Stanford doesn’t really need to do anything else heading into National Signing Day. Despite only having 13 commitments, three of them are five-stars. One of those guys is quarterback Davis Mills from Norcross, Georgia.

Mills is the No. 1 pro-style quarterback, the No. 1 player from Georgia, and the No. 15 player in the country. 247Sports has Mills as a five-star recruit with a 0.9908 grade. He committed to Stanford on March 15th.

While both Alabama and Georgia fought for his commitment this recruiting cycle, Mills fell in love with Stanford almost immediately. Losing his commitment would destroy this 2017 class for Stanford. However, that notion seems almost impossible.
