4. DeAndre McNeal, 3-star WR (Mesquite, Texas)

A program can never have too many playmakers at the wide receiver position. Heck, the more weapons on offense for Josh Rosen, the better off the Bruins are in 2017 and beyond. Enter,  JUCO transfer DeAndre McNeal.

Two years ago, the four-star receiver (at the time he was ranked the No. 200 recruit in the country) committed to Charlie Strong and the Texas Longhorns. Things didn’t quite work out there and he transferred to Fullerton College where he caught 36 passes for 616 yards and six touchdowns in 2016.

In the junior college ranks, McNeal is ranked the No. 73 overall recruit and No. 8 wide receiver available for 2017. This resurgence at the JUCO level should come as no surprise as he was once considered a top target with dozens of suitors out of high school in Mesquite, Texas.

McNeal is being courted by two programs: UCLA and Lane Kiffin’s Florida Atlantic Owls. The Bruins could use him as an extra weapon for Rosen with speed and a decent 6-foot-1, 236-pound frame while it would be one of Kiffin’s biggest recruiting wins in his short time at FAU.

It seems like UCLA currently leads for the impressive JUCO receiver while Florida Atlantic tried to play catch-up during his official on Jan. 27. The Bruins received a visit the weekend before.
