Is Law & Order: SVU airing a new episode tonight, February 1? We let you know and tell you what you can expect from the NBC drama next.

Detective Amanda Rollins and the rest of the squad from NBC‘s Law & Order: SVU are still on duty tonight, February 1, but not in a new episode — the network is doubling up with a pair of repeats.

This Wednesday there are two encore installments of SVU. In the show’s normal 9 p.m. time slot is a repeat of the season 18 premiere “Terrorized,” which sees Lieutenant Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay), Rollins (Kelli Giddish) and the rest of the squad collaborating with the Joint Terrorism Task Force.

It’s up to the SVU detectives to find the link between their case and a possible terrorist attack and to find the guilty party in both crimes.

Here’s the official description of that episode:

"A young boy is found wandering alone in Central Park and the search for his parents leads to startling evidence of a planned mass casualty event in the city. As the SVU works with the joint-terrorism task force to find the suspects and the motive, Lt. Benson must also convince Barba to address allegations of rape and torture the boy’s mother discloses."

Fans who tune in an hour earlier at 8 p.m. can watch an extra repeat of season 18, episode 7, called “Bad Rap.” Musician-actor Wyclef Jean is the featured guest star as a record label exec who, along with his protege, is accused of a sex crime. You can watch a preview of that episode by using the media player at the top of this article.

Here’s how NBC officially describes that episode:

"A record label CEO and his protégé are questioned for their involvement in the assault of a transgender student."

The next new episode of Law & Order: SVU airs Wednesday, February 8 at 9 p.m. on NBC. season 18, episode 12 will also be the show’s landmark 400th installment.

Fans may be disappointed that SVU is not new tonight, but NBC is somewhat making up for it by scheduling back-to-back episodes to at least give audiences something to watch. At least Benson and her unit will be back in a big way next week.
