A look at the LSU Tigers recruiting class. Who will they add on National Signing Day and who will make an impact right away as freshmen?

The LSU Tigers are diving into a new era in Baton Rouge, LA. They will be under the leadership of head coach Ed Orgeron, who took over during in 2016 for Les Miles after the school let him go. So heading into 2017, Orgeron has the task of recruiting the next wave of top talent to come to LSU.

So far the Tigers have brought in one player that 247Sports has listed as a five-star recruit; on January 11, safety JaCoby Stevens committed to the Bayou Bengals. He’s listed as the No. 18 player on 247Sports’ National Composite. As part of the Tigers potential new look later this year, Stevens should start immediately.

For almost two years. LSU has had defensive tackle Tyler Shelvin committed to the program. He’s a four-star lineman that’s No. 1 in the state of Louisiana in the 2017 class. The only school he’s taken a visit to since last March is LSU, so all he needs to do is sign a letter of intent and be good to join an always-loaded front seven.

The potential left tackle of the future and maybe even the present is Austin Deculus. He stands at 6-foot-6, 331 pounds and should step in on the offensive line either in 2017 or 2017 as a full-time starter.

Others who have committed to LSU as part of their 2017 recruiting class can be seen below and the list will be updated as announcements are made on National Signing Day:

Orgeron and Co. should continue to put this group together on National Signing Day and potentially push this class from No. 6 into the top five. They have an offer out to defensive end K’Lavon Chaisson, who seems to be leaning toward Texas. However, can LSU make a last second push to further add to their defensive line?
