Urban Meyer and the Ohio State Buckeyes have arguably the best college football recruiting class in the nation after the 2017 National Signing Day.
After once again making the College Football Playoff, the Ohio State Buckeyes are out to make a statement with their 2017 recruiting class. They have been battling the Alabama Crimson Tide for the best class all year and after National Signing Day, it is easy to see why Urban Meyer is one of the best in the nation at landing recruits. The Buckeyes have done their best to scoop up coveted 5-star prospects.
While the Buckeyes made the College Football Playoff, they were thoroughly embarrassed and shutout by the Clemson Tigers in the Fiesta Bowl. An angry Meyer is one the rest of the nation should be afraid of as he works even harder to get the best players. Let us all look in awe of the Buckeyes’ 2017 class.
The first thing jumps off the page is that the Buckeyes have landed the two best cornerbacks in the entire nation, according to 24/7’s composite rankings. 5-star recruits Jeffrey Okudah and Shaun Wade should help create a shutdown defense for Ohio State. The fact that they got two players with ridiculous potential to add to their secondary is going to make life miserable for other quarterbacks in the Big Ten.

Their other 5-star recruit is outside linebacker Baron Browning. The Kennedale, Texas native is the top outside linebacker in the nation and will come into a front seven that makes life on the quarterback difficult every single play.
All-Purpose Back J.K. Dobbins is the second best in the nation and will be a dynamic weapon on offense. They have the best in-state recruit with offensive guard Josh Myers, who should be a monster of a man up front protecting the quarterback and providing a push in the run game. DUAL quarterback Tate Martell has plenty of hype surrounding him and Ohio State fans are already excited for when he will get his turn at quarterback.
