West Ham face Manchester City at London Stadium on Feb. 1. Here’s all the info you need to watch.
West Ham have slowly been making their way up the Premier League table after a terrible start to the season. After consecutive wins, against Crystal Palace and West Ham, Slaven Bilic’s side are now in 10th place, and level on points with ninth-place Stoke.
The Hammers will also be glad the Dimitri Payet transfer saga has come to the end. The Frenchman was West Ham’s best player last season, but after a poor start to 2016-17, he quickly became more trouble than he was worth. With Payet out and Robert Snodgrass in, the London club can refocus for the final 16 matches of the season.
Manchester City are currently in fifth place, which qualifies them for a spot in the Europa League. The Citizens’ fans and players won’t be satisfied with anything less than a top four finish, however. City have more than enough attacking talent to cause West Ham problems, but question marks remain surrounding their defense. Claudio Bravo has received plenty of criticism for his performances in goal, but he looked assured in City’s draw against Tottenham in their last league match. A similar performance by City against West Ham should be enough for the three points.
