The New England Patriots always walk out to Crazy Train, so the Atlanta Falcons trolled them by walking out to a song by Trick Daddy that samples it.

One of the overriding themes of Super Bowl LI is the contrast between new and old. While the New England Patriots have been there and done that, the Atlanta Falcons are appearing in their first Super Bowl since 1996. Boston is also more of a rock and roll town while a big part of Atlanta culture is the hip hop scene. That stark contrast was fully on display when the two teams stepped on to the field.

Bill Belichick and the Patriots like to stick to tradition. It’s the reason why they contend year in and year out. One of their biggest traditions is walking out to “Crazy Train” by Ozzy Osbourne. It’s become a staple for game days at Foxborough, and one that makes their opponents quake with fear before the game even starts.

But the Falcons weren’t deterred by it. Instead, they tried their hand at psychological warfare when they walked out to “Let’s Go” by Trick Daddy. If it sounds familiar, that’s because it samples “Crazy Train”:

The Falcons know they need to take every advantage they can against Belichick and Tom Brady. There isn’t a squad that knows how to win better than they do, so they have to show that they aren’t scared. Moreover, the camaraderie displayed by the Falcons’ 53-man squad should make it abundantly clear that they came to play.

Through 10 games in the playoffs this year, only two of them have actually been close. Let’s hope the Super Bowl bucks that trend.
