Lady Gaga capped off a thrilling Super Bowl LI halftime performance by literally dropping the mic before jumping off of the stage.
While there was plenty of buzz surrounding the Super Bowl LI matchup between the New England Patriots and Atlanta Falcons, there were millions of Americans also looking forward to Lady Gaga’s halftime performance.
Even with all of that hype heading into Sunday, Lady Gaga was able to live up to the expectations and delivered an exciting performance that featured plenty of theatrics. The performance started by the artists singing “God Bless America” and then jumping off of the roof of NRG Stadium.
Lady Gaga played all of her biggest hits throughout the halftime show, from “Poker Face” to “Telephone” to “Bad Romance”. After such a great performance, Lady Gaga simply shouted “Super Bowl 51!”, then literally dropped the mic. The artist then jumped off of the stage while catching a glitter-covered football.

The halftime show at Super Bowl LI was definitely more exciting than the first two quarters of the actual game. The Atlanta Falcons were making easy work of the New England Patriots, taking a 21-3 lead into the locker room at halftime. The biggest moment of the game was Robert Alford intercepting a pass from Tom Brady and taking it all the way for a touchdown.
As for the halftime show, you can bet that this was definitely a win for Lady Gaga and her music career.
