Who will be performing during the Super Bowl 51 halftime show?

The Super Bowl 51 halftime show will take place during halftime of the Super Bowl. After the Atlanta Falcons and New England Patriots are done playing the first two quarters of the game, one of the most anticipated halftime shows in recent memory will get underway. As always, the NFL has been quiet about guest performers. What is known is Lady Gaga will be the star of the show.

Gaga is well known for being political, so this could be a very interesting show. She also enjoys to tiptoe the lines drawn in the sand by society, so anyone and anything is fair game. Gaga is arguably the most famous LGBT spokesperson, so she’ll likely work this into her act.

But what about the rest of the performers? Let’s go over some potential spoilers.

Recently, Gaga caused pandemonium across the internet by posting an Instagram picture with a bee emoji. This suggests Beyonce might be a surprise guest. She didn’t rule her out during an NFL press conference. Gaga teased at an appearance by the legend after saying Beyonce gave her “great advice”.

Another possibility is Bruno Mars. He has been involved in several recent halftime shows and is a constant crowd pleaser. If the NFL wants to hit a home run, they likely booked him. Mars might be involved in a Prince tribute since Prince, like him, has performed at past Super Bowls.

An appearance by Tony Bennett has been all but confirmed. Gaga and the jazz singing legend have worked together in the past. They’re a bit of an odd couple, but they’ve done some impressive work collaborating with each other.

Whatever she has up her sleeve, the halftime show should be very entertaining.
