Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan still had to talk with the media following an epic collapse in Super Bowl LI against the New England Patriots.

While the New England Patriots celebrated their dramatic comeback victory in Super Bowl LI, Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan had to talk to the media immediately after what had to be the toughest moment of his entire career.

Overall, Ryan played a great game. He went 17-of-23 through the air with 284 yards, two touchdowns and no interception. The Falcons event led 28-3 at one point, and it looked like they were going to coast to an easy Super Bowl win.

However, some poor game planning and execution led to to unbelievable collapse and 31 unanswered points from the Patriots, including the game-winning touchdown in overtime.

After the game, Ryan was obviously devastated, but he still had to talk to the media.

“Obviously I’m very disappointed,” Ryan said during his postgame press conference. “It’s hard to find words tonight.”

Despite the tough loss, this will still go down as an incredible season for the Falcons quarterback. Not only did Ryan lead his team to a Super Bowl while throwing for 4,944 yards and 38 touchdowns in the regular season, but he was also able to win the NFL MVP award.

You have to feel bad for Ryan, but at the same time there’s really nothing you can do when the rest of your team starts to collapse. Falcons fans are hoping that Ryan can take his team back to the Super Bowl next year.
