Former Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch felt there was a conspiracy after the New England Patriots came back and won the Super Bowl.

The New England Patriots made the greatest comeback of all time over the Atlanta Falcons in Super Bowl 51 on Sunday night. James White had a record number of receptions and Tom Brady picked apart the Atlanta defense in the win. With White running the ball in on the goal line, it prompted former Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch to tweet.

Lynch of course is known for not getting the ball on the goal line in Super Bowl 49, which was one of the worst play calls ever. The Seahawks chose to pass and it cost them dearly, as Malcolm Butler intercepted the ball. There’s been conspiracy theories ever since about the decision and whether or not the league or Seattle didn’t want Lynch to be the guy to win it. After White and the Patriots came back, Lynch tweeted out his thoughts.

It’s not clear if he’s calling the game rigged or not, but he still hasn’t forgotten that play. He likely never will as everyone will probably wonder what would have happened if he did indeed get the ball on the goal line.

In fairness to the Patriots, they did throw the ball before handing off to White. It’s just that their pass didn’t get picked off like Russell Wilson’s did. While people have their conspiracies still about the game, it shouldn’t be one.

Seattle just called a terrible play and wasted their best asset on the field in that moment. Lynch has every right to be angry about that call and it will stick with him forever. Just like White scoring the TD will stick out in history forever.
