Conference play is in full swing, and we now are starting to get a feel for who these teams are and how dangerous they can be. The Big 12, like most years, looks to be a strong conference from top to bottom.
Here are your Big 12 Power Rankings.
Oklahoma finally falls into the hole of the 10th place in the Big 12. The rebuild continues in Norman as the Sooners cannot buy a win. A Texas win combined with two losses to mid-level Big 12 foes pushed Oklahoma to the bottom. The Sooners have now lost five straight games. They will hope to break this slump soon, but it does not look to be coming this week. The Sooners will try to play spoiler to West Virginia, who is coming off of a loss, and a road trip to Iowa State, coming off a statement win.
Texas has been the team just finding ways to lose in the past month or so. However, they have found their footing, if only briefly and have gone 2-2 in their past four games. Eric Davis is starting to heat up, and Texas at least gained some life beating a decent Texas Tech team at home. Of course, they followed that up with a loss, but that is why their jump is only up one spot. Texas will try to keep the confidence rising as they face Iowa State in what may be a trap game for the Cyclones in Austin. After that, they head to Stillwater to take on the Oklahoma State Cowboys.
