Why exactly was Charles Oakley arrested during the New York Knicks game during Wednesday night’s game?

A wild scene that no one expected unfolded at Madison Square Garden on Wednesday night. As the New York Knicks played host to the Los Angeles Clippers, former Knicks enforcer Charles Oakley got into a shoving match with security. No one knew what was going on at the time, but cameras caught Oakley getting physical and being dragged out the arena by officials.

Endless speculation arose about what led Oakley to being physical and getting ejected. The Knicks released a statement, saying he had been arrested and that they hoped he gets the help he needs.

After Oakley’s arrest, Frank Isola reported that Oakley was yelling at Knicks owner James Dolan. He refused to listen after he was told to stop and it led to his arrest ultimately. According to Isola, he has been upset that the Knicks haven’t included him in any events at all as the team celebrates the 70th anniversary of the organization.

As Isola pointed out in his final tweet, Oakley has been banned from the organization and will receive no tickets. This whole ordeal has certainly overshadowed the game that is going on and has turned into yet another nightmare for the organization.
