Charles Oakley viciously ejected from Knicks’ game vs Clippers
By Jack Crosby
Charles Oakley brought back a lot of memories for a lot of people on Wednesday night with his ejection from the stands
Anyone who remembers Charles Oakley and his playing days in the NBA also remembers that he was one of the more fiery basketball players that you will ever see. Hell, even in retirement, we’re reminded time and time again that he still has that fire burning when he calls out Charles Barkley on the regular.
Well, we were reminded of that once again on Wednesday night, and it was one of the more awkward situations that we have seen in quite some time.
Wednesday night his former team, the New York Knicks, welcomed in the Los Angeles Clippers to Madison Square Garden and Oakley was in attendance. Well, apparently, there was some sort of scuffle in the stands involving the former NBA star and, well, things escalated rather quickly to say the least.
Oakley was in a disagreement with someone that brought security over, and when the proper authorities did arrive, it looks as if Oakley decided to reminisce about his old playing days on the court. He decided to do this by trying to fight everyone in the Garden, more or less.
What’s maybe most amazing about this video is the number of people that it takes to get him away from the seat. But, again, this is one of the toughest dudes in the history of the NBA so that’s really no surprise.
UPDATE: The Knicks released a statement just a short time ago, mentioning that Oakley was ejected for his behavior in the stands, and not only that, but he is currently being placed under arrest.
Yeah, Charles Barkley might wanna steer clear of Mr. Oakley.
