DeAndre Jordan was doing his usual pregame workouts before the Los Angeles Clippers ESPN showing against the New York Knicks. In what appears to have been just some quick fun 1-on-1 basketball, Jordan made the mistake of throwing the ball into the air as hard as he could. The result of his mistimed throw was pretty comical to say the least.

There’s no real information on if the ball Jordan threw into the rafters was the actual game ball, and had to be retrieved, just this video of him getting the ball stuck. This raises questions: if they did get it down how exactly did they accomplish that? One of those ridiculously tall ladders that we see in cartoons, or maybe one of those ticket dropping drones? Personally, I think Jordan just jumped up and pulled it down himself. He’s pretty tall and has some of the better hops the NBA has ever seen, so I’m sure with some effort he could get a finger on it.

What I really want though is for the ball to still be there at this very moment as the game is going on. Nothing would be funnier if mid-way through the game on a fastbreak a basketball just fell from the sky as if the heavens were complaining about having to witness another Knicks game in Madison Square Garden. Charles Oakley is already pretty fed up with the Knicks so it would only be fitting to see the arena itself fight back against the tyranny that is Knicks basketball. The best part? It wouldn’t even crack top-5 weirdest moments for the Knicks this season. Keep on being you, Knicks. Keep on.
