Jeff Gordon can add another accomplishment to his list. The NASCAR legend is now doing voice-overs for a character on Disney’s racing show called Mickey and the Roadster Racers.
Former NASCAR driver Jeff Gordon accomplished much during his racing career. Yet he’s now doing something new as the voice of a Mickey and the Roadster Racers character.
He isn’t the first current or former NASCAR driver to be a part of the Disney racing show. NASCAR’s defending champion Jimmie Johnson was featured in the show’s premiere earlier this season.
Gordon will play Gordon Gear on Mickey and the Roadster Racers. His character will be on multiple episodes. His first appearance comes on Feb. 11 at 10 a.m. on Disney Channel in an episode titled “Abra-ka-Goof!”. Gordon has a great personality and appears to fit well with this animated show. It’s just his latest venture on television as Gordon is a member of Fox’s NASCAR broadcast team.
He brings a unique perspective to Fox’s coverage and that should be the same on Mickey and the Roadster Racers. Having current and past NASCAR drivers who are popular on the show makes perfect sense. It helps promotes the sport and the driver’s own popularity and persona more.
Despite only filling in as a substitute for Dale Earnhardt Jr. last year in Sprint Cup Series races, Gordon has kept himself busy outside the race car. It will be interesting to see how much of the first episode features Gordon. Likewise, his first episode as Gordan Gear should help set a tone for future episodes.

Gordon’s February only gets busier as Fox’s coverage of NASCAR starts with the Clash and includes the Can-Am Duels and Daytona 500 weekend later in the month. He definitely loves racing, and that was clear during his first year in the broadcast booth during races.
