The North Carolina Tar Heels face the Duke Blue Devils at Cameron Indoor Stadium on Thursday, Feb. 9. Here’s all the info you need to watch.
In college basketball and sports as a whole, few rivalries can contend with the blood-feud between the North Carolina Tar Heels and Duke Blue Devils. Just a few miles apart on Tobacco Road, the rivalry has been long-lasting and memorable, to say the least. On Thursday night, the next chapter is written as North Carolina travels to Cameron Indoor Stadium for a huge top-20 matchup.
North Carolina was in the National Championship just one year ago, losing in heartbreaking fashion. Despite losses of key pieces, Joel Berry, Justin Jackson, Isaiah Hicks and the rest of Roy Williams’ bunch have stepped up and look like contenders again. What’s big for them in this matchup with Duke, though, is the return of Theo Pinson. A fantastic defender, Pinson missed the start of the year and then the previous two games due to injury. He’ll be back, though, and looking to lock up the Blue Devils on the perimeter.
With head coach Mike Krzyzewski back in the fold after a leave of absence, Duke looked better. However, Grayson Allen, Luke Kennard and company have been a bit disappointing this season, already having lost four games in ACC play. That said, they are still rife with talent throughout the roster with the likes of Harry Giles and Jayson Tatum in the fold. They’ll need to be at their best to knock off rival North Carolina.
This game will be on in primetime on ESPN on Thursday. Subsequently, you can live stream the action through WatchESPN. Access the service and stream online or through the ESPN app by logging in with a cable or satellite subscription.
