Borussia Dortmund are still within a point of third-place Frankfurt after both clubs won last weekend. BVB fans will be relieved by the win after their side had drawn four of their previous five Bundesliga matches. Anything less than a victory at last place Darmstadt on Saturday will be a massive disappointment.
American international Christian Pulisic has come off the bench the last few matches for Dortmund. He hasn’t let that slow down his production, however, as he assisted on the equalizer in BVB’s German Cup win over Hertha Berlin on Wednesday.
Sitting in last place in the league table is bad enough, having only nine points and trailing the next closest club by six points is just plain miserable. Darmstadt are on a one-way street that leads straight to Relegation Town. They have only won two league matches all season.
