Stephen Curry really likes cupcakes, apparently.
Stephen Curry got to participate in the wildest game of the season. The atmosphere that existed in Oklahoma City tonight for the return of Kevin Durant was absolutely electric, with the Warriors coming out on top.
It’s rare to see an arena get that wild, even for return games, but OKC really let Durant have it for the entirety of the game. Their favorite insult had to be the use of “cupcake,” a reference to an inside joke from Durant’s OKC days. It is not a compliment.
Curry must have been fond of the cupcake name, design or dessert in general, because he decided at some point he really wanted one of those cupcake shirts. It wasn’t hard to find one. They were all over the arena, and fans were chanting about them all game, so mini-cake dessert was obviously a fan favorite. By the end of the night, Curry found what he was looking for.

Cupcakes are delicious, but why Curry wanted a shirt so badly is anybody’s guess. Perhaps it was just a memento for one of the wildest games he’s been a part of in his career, or maybe it was to give to Durant so he could send yet another message with it. Perhaps Curry just really likes pastries.
Whatever the reason, Curry was asked about it following the game and while he didn’t give a very clear answer, it was obvious he has plans for it.

"Nah, it's a souvenir for bigger & better things"
Yikes, bigger and better things huh? That almost sounds like they plan on bringing this up again if they win a title with Durant in town this season. The Warriors have obviously taken notice of the cupcake phrase that took over OKC this evening, but what they have planned for that T-shirt is anybody’s guess.

Perhaps it’s related to the Warriors grabbing the cupcake shirts after the game?

Whatever their plan is, hopefully it’s delicious.
