Bournemouth face Manchester City at Vitality Stadium on Feb. 13. Here’s all the info you need to watch.
In what appears to be a lopsided match based on the Premier League standings, Bournemouth face Manchester City on Monday afternoon. If Bournemouth can win at home, then the result would send shock waves throughout the league.
Bournemouth have a tough task ahead of them. Luckily, they’re playing in front of their home fans. Likewise, they’re well-rested after not playing a game since Everton destroyed them, 6-3, on Feb. 4. Unlike the Everton game, Bournemouth need to be intentional from the opening whistle about limiting Manchester City’s offensive chances. If City score on the hosts as early as Everton did, then the momentum will rapidly shift against them.
Manchester City are currently in fourth place, which qualifies them for a spot in the Champions League. It’s unknown if Sergio Aguero will play on Monday. He was left out of the team’s last game against Swansea in favor of Gabriel Jesus, who scored twice. The Citizens are now in fifth place after Liverpool beat Tottenham on Saturday. A win against Bournemouth would move City into second place, two points ahead of Tottenham and Arsenal and three ahead of Liverpool.
