John Wall is bored with normal passes, so he threw one between his legs on a fast break Monday night.

John Wall is easily playing the best basketball of his career this season. The level he’s on right now has left defenses with no idea what to do as he slices through them. His passing is superb, he’s scoring more than ever, and it’s all come together into a spot in this year’s All-Star Game.

Everybody should be excited to watch Wall in this year’s game, because he is primed to put on a performance for the ages.

Of course, the game isn’t until this Sunday and ones that actually count are still in front of him. Wall could take it easy and cruise into the break if he chose to, but instead it looks like he’s practicing for the exhibition this Sunday.

On a fastbreak, Wall had a man in front of him and easily could have just dumped off a simple pass to his streaking teammate. Perhaps bored with simple passes, Wall decided to throw it between his legs.

A highlight so good it almost made those red pajamas the Wizards are wearing look good. Plays like this has just been life for the Wizards since Christmas. After a rough start to the season, they’ve found their groove and are really playing some incredible basketball. Currently sitting in third place, Washington has a legitimate chance at catching the Boston Celtics for the 2-seed. They Wall to thank for that.

Even when the Wizards were at their lowest point, Wall was always playing at a high level. He was the one that carried them through their rough patch and set the standard for everybody else. Now that everybody has caught up, Washington looks like legitimate contenders in the East. There’s still a lot of season left, but if the team they are right now is the team they finish the season as then it will be tough to overlook them come April.
