Booth’s past is under the microscope in this week’s episode of Bones. Here’s how you can watch season 12, episode 8 live, on TV and online.

It may not be a happy Valentine’s Day on FOX‘s Bones. The final season is reaching its two-thirds mark with Tuesday’s episode, which also drags out both Booth and Brennan’s pasts.

Season 12, episode 8 is called “The Scare in the Score” and uses Booth’s (David Boreanaz) Army past as the premise for the case of the week. Brennan (Emily Deschanel) worries that her partner and husband will be the killer’s next victim, but she also has to be concerned with own history.

Her father (Ryan O’Neal) also chooses this week to return, and he’s not there to bring gifts. Max is about to undergo a major medical procedure, and Brennan doesn’t want to think about what that means.

Plus, after tonight there are only four more episodes of Bones remaining.

Here’s how FOX officially describes the episode:

"When a series of corpses with ties to Booth’s former Army unit appear around D.C., Booth must dive into his past to find the killer before the killer finds Booth. Meanwhile, Brennan’s father Max hides a serious medical procedure from Brennan, leaving her to grapple with her father’s trust and mortality, as well as her family being in danger."
