With a new general manager, the Indianapolis Colts have to take advantage this offseason. Who should they sign in free agency?

The Colts have made some very questionable decisions in free agency in the past few years. Fortunately for them, it has not affected them in the long term, and they currently sit in good standing with the salary cap. They have to be sharper this time around, but still, have to look to make veteran additions to win every single season that they have Andrew Luck. So what are the Colts top five priorities this offseason?

5. Mike Adams

The first thing the Colts have to do is make sure their quality free agents do not walk out the door. Adams is 35, and for a safety that may be over the hill. However, he is consistently a sure tackler, and on the defense, he is one of the most trustworthy players on the roster. In 2017, he rated out as the 18th-best safety in the league by Pro Football Focus.

With that in mind, the Colts need to hang onto Adams, even if it is on a one or two-year deal. His best play has come in the later stretch of his career, and with the Colts. The hope is that given his age, how well he has fit in with the team, and the fact that he is not the most sought after free agent safety, the Colts will surely be able to work something out.
