The Flash left us with a cliffhanger promising the return of a familiar and foreboding villain. but will we get to see him tonight?

If you’ve got plans for the evening of Valentine’s Day — and your significant other might appreciate it if you did — you don’t have to cancel them on account of The Flash.

Yep, you can go to dinner or whatever might be on the agenda with no worries about missing out on the Fastest Man Alive. The Flash takes the week off from new episodes, presumably due to Hallmark’s favorite holiday.

Indeed, The CW isn’t even showing a repeat of the episode of the series in its normal 8 p.m. Tuesday night slot. That hour will be filled with the season 1 finale of Tough Mudder: The Challenge Within. That doesn’t scream Valentine’s Day to me, but hey.

There is a repeat on at 9 p.m. in the time slot now typically occupied by Legends of Tomorrow. That will be the episode that just aired last week, “Untouchable,” so you can catch up if you missed it. Or you can simply read our recap; that’ll be fine with us.

For those of you who have seen it, you may recall that the final scene saw Jesse Quick startle Kid Flash by appearing suddenly through a portal in S.T.A.R. Labs. Her warning was that her dad, Harrison “Harry” Wells, had been kidnapped by Grodd and taken to Gorilla City. That will be the impetus for a two-parter that starts on Tuesday, Feb. 21.

So go ahead and celebrate Valentine’s Day conscience-free. You aren’t missing anything, and we’ll be here next week to discuss The Flash and what’s sure to be an intriguing visit to Earth-2 for the rematch with Grodd.
