Glenn Gronkowski will get a chance to team up with his brother, Rob, on the New England Patriots roster.

The Gronkowski ancestry is now invading New England.

According to the Patriots official Twitter account, the Super Bowl 51 champions have decided to include Rob Gronkowski’s brother, Glenn, into the dynasty. Though numbers were not discussed, the Patriots confirmed the idea of having the youngest Gronk around. With this news breaking ground, it marks what could be a potential swing of momentum. New England already has enough of the Gronkowski bloodline with the dominate presence of Rob. But by adding Glenn, it’s a step forward in tapping into their European roots.

While at Kansas State, Glenn was mostly used as a receiver, since he packed so much height and overall size. Over the course of three years, Glenn would register 369 receiving yards to a shallow 51 rushing yards. On a professional note, Glenn would not experience much love either. After all, he’s in a league that’s anchored at the tight end position with his big brother. If that’s not enough pressure, Glenn’s also following the footsteps of two other brothers, Dan and Chris. Those two would invest in some NFL time, but nothing that amounts to bragging rights.

If New England is to take advantage of Glenn’s size (6-foot-2, 239 pounds), then Rob could be in intermediate danger, regardless of size differential. And no family feud would be complete without the addition of brotherhood. In a far away world, imagine all four Gronkowskis stationed in the Boston area. In the backfield would be Glenn and Chris, an ex-NFL running back for Dallas, Indianapolis and Denver.

As for the receiving corps, both Rob and Dan could pose a serious threat to opposing defenses. Though Rob’s resume is well-documented as a tight end, Dan has some catching up to do. After playing 21 games over the span of four seasons, he would haul in only nine catches with no touchdowns.

With all the Gronkowskis running amok in New England, it wouldn’t be the most efficient. It would, however, make the spines of other teams tingle. All four of them are well over six feet tall and 200 pounds and those numbers add a fear factor on offense. It is also weird to notice that Denver has seen it’s fair share of marketing the Gronkowskis (Dan in 2010, Chris in 2012). But New England could make a run for it and have its own Gronkowski family reunion.
