President Barack Obama’s bracketology special has been a staple for the past few years on ESPN. Many fans have enjoyed watching the president fill out his bracket in anticipation for the tournament.
The allure of a president filling out a bracket is too much to pass up, so ESPN hoped that Donald Trump would fill out a bracket, but Trump’s bracket will stay empty. The annual tradition that Obama started will end because Trump has decided that he does not want nor feel the need to fill out a bracket.
As reported by the Washington Post, Trump declined ESPN’s invitation to continue Obama’s annual tradition.

Obama filling out a bracket was a big deal because not only was he the first president in history to do this, but he also filled out a women’s bracket. He started when he first got into office in 2008 and kept the annual tradition until he left office.
As for the tournament, Gonzaga, Villanova, Kansas, and Baylor round out the top four teams in the Associated Press Poll right now. Baylor will be a team to watch out for in the tournament, despite flying under-the-radar in the Big 12.
