The Toronto Maples Leafs went off last night, piling up seven goals, including one from Tyler Bozak ($5,800). Bozak now has two goals and fives assists in the Leafs last eight games. That’s seven double-digit FanDuel NHL point games in Toronto’s last eight games. Tyler and the Leafs are taking their hot offensive play into Columbus tonight.
The Blue Jackets have been a good team this season, but cooled off lately. After a fantastic December, into January, the Blue Jackets with Bobrovsky in goal have lost six of his last eight starts. In that time, Sergei gave up between three and four goals per game.
Patrik Berglund ($4,300) had been off to a terrible start, but recovered his season mid-way through the year. Lately, Patrik has been on fire, scoring five goals in the St. Louis Blues last three games. Berglund is taking his hot scoring streak into Detroit tonight. The Red Wings have struggled to defend the net all season.

Like Berglund, Vladimir Tarasenko ($8,000) has been hotter lately. Vlad has frustrating to play this year. Tarasenko’s ceiling is high, scoring three goals over a three day period, and two games, between February 7th and 9th. But then on February 11th, Tarasenko only had two shots in a very disappointing 3.2 FanDuel NHL point effort. But tonight, Vladimir has a great match-up and often bounces back after a low scoring game.
Minus a four-game scoring streak in mid-January, Boone Jenner ($4,700) had a scoring drought since Christmas. However, since the start of February, Jenner is heating up. Boone entered Monday night’s game with one goal and three assists since February 3rd.
While Jenner didn’t have a goal or assist on Monday, he did have four shots on goal and a blocked shot leading to eight FanDuel NHL points. Boone should generate another near-10 point game or better at home tonight against the Leafs.
Rounding out our four wings, Jonathan Huberdeau ($6,100) and Jussi Jokinen ($4,800) are two hot Florida Panthers. Huberdeau (Achilles) wasn’t expected back in the Panthers lineup until March. But since returning on February 3rd, Jonathan has two goals and three assists over three games. Huberdeau brings a 20+ FanDuel NHL point average into tonight’s game.
Jokinen scored a goal and had one assist on Saturday for the third game over the Panthers last five games. Jussi and the Panthers have a touch match up against Jones and the Sharks tonight, but if the Panthers stay hot, San Jose is in trouble.

With 59 points (goals or assists) and 98 blocked shots in 57 games, Brent Burns ($8,600) is a dominating defender for the San Jose Sharks. Every time he’s on the ice, we should find a way to plug him into our lineups. Even in losses, Burns will typically have a goal or assist and block several shots. Brent is on the ice 25-27 minutes per game and very often provides double-digit FanDuel NHL points with a massive ceiling.
Playing on the top regular and 2nd power play lines for the Toronto Maple Leafs, Nikita Zaitsev ($4,500) is often on scoring lines for a dynamic young Leafs’ offense. Zaitsev has been hot lately and with only a $4.5K salary, he’s a great value play compliment to Burns.

Carter Hutton ($8,100) is likely the starting goalie for the St. Louis Blues tonight, but we’ll leave $100 on the table in case we have to flip to Jake Allen. Both Hutton and Allen have been hot lately for a re-surging Blues team and they have a great match up against the Detroit Red Wings tonight.
Hutton won two of his last three starts, each a shutout away from home. Carter had over 47 FanDuel NHL points against the Penguins in Pittsburgh and over 40 points against the Flyers in Philadelphia. We could see another 40 point result in Detroit tonight as well. But keep your eye on starting goalie news. You may have to flip to Jake Allen ($8,200) as we approach game-time.

Always check NHL lineups throughout the day when playing FanDuel NHL. As a fan, you likely know the league isn’t overly forthcoming with injury news, and players are often scratched at the last-minute with little information. Also, goaltenders are never a sure-thing. Good Luck today FanDuelers!
