For the second time in his three-year NBA career, Jabari Parker had surgery on his left knee to repair a torn ACL.

Six days after suffering his second ACL tear in the past three years, Milwaukee Bucks forward Jabari Parker experienced a seamless procedure on his left knee, according to the Bucks organization. Parker’s timetable for return is set for one calendar year.

Milwaukee loses Parker who was averaging a career-high 20.1 points and 6.2 rebounds per game. In December of 2014, Parker’s season came to a close after a similar injury. Parker was sidelined after appearing in just 25 games during his rookie campaign.

Parker bounced back in 2015-16. He netted 14.1 points-per-game while shooting nearly 77 percent from the free throw line. He played in 76 games and averaged 31.7 minutes per game Currently, the Bucks (24-30) stand one game of out the Eastern Conference behind the Detroit Pistons. Milwaukee has only made the playoffs three times since 2006-07, all first round exits.

Milwaukee’s lone all-star selection Giannis Antetokounmpo leads the team in points-per-game (23.2). Forward Khris Middleton (hamstring) recently returned to the Bucks roster last week. As a team, Milwaukee averages 105.2 points-per-game (15th in the NBA). The Bucks will be without Parker for the 28 remaining games this season as well as the first half of next season.

Milwaukee is 2-1 since Parker’s Feb. 8 injury he suffered in a 106-88 loss to the Miami Heat. Milwaukee has surprisingly fared well versus the Central Division, compiling an 8-3 record against the Bulls, Cavs, Pacers and Pistons. Against the Eastern Conference, the Bucks are 16-21 thus far. The team is 14-14 at the Bradley Center while 10-6 away from home.
