Where can you find Legion Chapter 2 online?
The second episode, or chapter, of Legion will follow David Haller as he experiences the world outside Clockworks mental hospital.
The synopsis released by FX is simply this:
"‘David reflects on his past with the help of his new friends.’"
This implies that Melanie and her gang are going to help David understand the events that took place in the first episode when he left the hospital. I would suggest that they will also go further back, examining the events that led to David’s institutionalization in the first place. David may not believe them at first; indeed in one of the trailers for the remainder of the season he wonders if the Clockworks people may have had the right idea about him all along. “Chapter 2” will probably mainly cover David’s first experiences outside the mental hospital or the government’s facility he was held in during the first episode. Because of this, it is understandable that David would have some trouble accepting that he is sane when he has been told the opposite for many years.
One thing to watch for in this episode is how the show will present it’s timeline. In “Chapter 1,” the timelines were quite convoluted; past and present seemed to coexist for much of the episode as David moved through his memories during the interrogation. Though he has now left the government facility, I don’t think that David will remain in a single timeline consistently. He was not convinced that Sydney breaking him out was real, and despite her assurances it seems unlikely that those will be enough to center David in his own mind.
Then there is the question of mental illness. It is entirely possible that Melanie and her minions are also glossing over some aspects of David’s health, and the truth is somewhere in the middle. While some of the voices David hears are real and they don’t necessarily make him insane, he may not be completely stable either.
