The Replay: Love and basketball

On a special Valentine’s Day episode of The Replay, we talk about two of our favorite things — love and basketball. We got up before the crack of dawn to give you all the reasons that we love the game and to play a little game of “Know your NBA Bromance.”

After spending the weekend with former teammates, El was a tad emotional. She said that basketball’s greatest gift is friendships with close teammates. Al reminded us how great it is that you can see the players’ faces and wacky hairstyles. Most importantly, we acknowledge that basketball has given us some of the greatest characters in sports history, including Bill and Luke Walton.

A Valentine’s Day NBA podcast would not be complete without talking about THE Love of the NBA – Kevin Love. We love him, but he doesn’t seem to love us back. Instead, he is dating Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model Kate Bock. El and Al share some investigative reporting on his supermodel boo. Be careful, don’t confuse her with Kate Bosworth from the surf classic Blue Crush. We also share our speculation into Kevin’s favorite ice cream flavor and potential new endorsement deals for the power couple. You are so welcome, Baskin Robbins!

Last but not least, this podcast takes an intimate look at one of the purest bromances in the league – that of DeMar DeRozan and Kyle Lowry. These Raptors are rapturous for one another! In a quick quiz game of “Know your NBA Bromance,” El and Al learn more about their favorite lovebirds. The best part is they discover yet another NBA player with a Skittles fetish.
