Charles Oakley compares James Dolan to Donald Sterling (Video)

Charles Oakley is still going after New York Knicks owner James Dolan, likening him to the banished Donald Sterling.
The Charles Oakley-James Dolan saga is one of the more bizarre stories to have happened in a long while, but it’s one that isn’t losing any steam. It has been a week since the former Knicks center was arrested and forcibly removed from Madison Square Garden after he allegedly went after Dolan in the crowd.
As we later learned, Oakley wasn’t going after Dolan rather he was being escorted out of the Garden by security and decided he didn’t want to go quietly. The fiasco led to his arrest and a short term banishment from MSG, as well as a devastating fallout that is still rippling across the NBA pond.
As a result of his outburst, Oakley was banished from MSG, reinstated and publicly scolded for having what he claims is a nonexistent alcohol problem. To defend himself, Oakley has been on a media tour burying Dolan and it’s getting uglier by the minute. On Thursday, Oakley chatted with Sports Illustrated and in one conversation Oakley repeatedly told SI Now that Dolan is on the same level as ex-Clippers owner Donald Sterling.
Sterling was the long time owner of the Los Angeles Clippers before a tape was leaked in which he was heard saying racist and derogatory statements. The fallout from that incident led to the eventual banishment of Sterling from the NBA and the forced sale of the Clippers to Steve Ballmer.
Oakley directly comparing Dolan to Sterling is something that isn’t going to be taken lightly by the Knicks owner, or the NBA. Among the chief alleged reasons that the Dolan-Oakley beef started was because of criticism the former player levied against the owner over the years.
