DraftKings NHL Picks:
Jacob Trouba – WPG (D) – $5400
Winnipeg will travel to Pittsburgh to take on the Penguins, in a game where the Pens are a -235 favorite. While the matchup isn’t ideal, Jacob Trouba has proven to be somewhat matchup proof given his ability to score fantasy points through peripheral categories. Trouba has seen a significant jump in all of his numbers of late, most importantly, a two-minute increase in time on the ice over the past month. Trouba has averaged 26.09 minutes per game this month and thus has provided him with more opportunities to rack up shots and blocks. He has accumulated an average of 3.54 shots on goal and 2 blocks per game in that time frame.

Gabriel Landeskog – COL (W) – $4600
Gabriel Landeskog has been very consistent of late, and is a sufficient bargain play on tonight’s slate. Landeskog has played nearly 20 minutes per game in his last few outings and this has allowed him to light up the score sheet. He’s recorded six points in his last six games, and we hope this can continue tonight against the Sabres. While the Sabres are a home favorite, they still allow the most shots on goal per game, at 34.2.
Martin Hanzal – ARI (C) – $4800
Martin Hanzal has had one of the more impressive fantasy seasons thus far, especially considering that Arizona has won less than 20 games this year. Hanzal’s value comes from his time on both the first line and first power play unit, and his shot volume. Hanzal is averaging just under 20 minutes per game and 3.30 shots on goal, this month.
Other players to consider: Ryan O’Reilly, Ivan Provorov, Kris Letang, Jeff Carter, Anze Kopitar, Blake Wheeler, Rasmus Ristolainen
