Jabrill Peppers

S, Michigan

Just like Marcus Mariota of the Tennessee Titans, Jameis Winston of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers is really blossoming in his second season in the NFL. As Winston enters his third year as the team’s starting quarterback, Bucs fans have to be happy with where the organization is headed, and it should only be uphill from here. The Buccaneers took a major step forward as a team in 2016, and while running back Doug Martin is a question mark for next season, adding help in teh secondary has to be the priority in April.

The safety position played well at times for the Buccaneers last season, but it is by no means an area of strength for the team. Tampa Bay needs to think about drafting this position in April, and Jabrill Peppers of Michigan may be available at No. 19. Peppers was the most versatile player in college football this past season, and would do wonders for the Bucs as a rookie next season.

Peppers played linebacker for the most part during his time with the Wolverines, but he is making the switch to safety in the pros. Peppers can also be used on offense and special teams, giving him true value as a first round prospect. The Buccaneers do have a bunch of holes to fill, so bringing in a player who can be valuable all over the field has to be something for them to look at as they fill out their big board over the next two months.
