T.J. Watt

LB, Wisconsin

The New England Patriots won their fifth Super Bowl with Tom Brady as their starting quarterback in February, and now they will focus their attention to the NFL Draft. Last year, the Patriots did not have a draft pick due to Deflategate, so they will definitely be looking to get their pick right in April. Head coach Bill Belichick is arguably the best coach in the history of the NFL, and he has to be licking his chops as the team prepares for the draft.

T.J. Watt is the younger brother of one of the best defensive players in the NFL, though he is doing a good job of carving out his own name. He was one of the more versatile linebackers in college football this past season, helping to lead a very stout Wisconsin Badgers defense. He is going to be a fantastic pro, and would be a perfect fit in Belichick’s defensive scheme in New England.

Dont’a Hightower is going to be a free agent, and he may ask for too much money for the Patriots to keep him around. The team traded Jamie Collins to the Cleveland Browns during the regular season, so outside linebacker is definitely going to be an area of need in the draft. Watt is a dynamic player, and he plays with the same kid of flair that his big brother, J.J., plays with for the Houston Texans.
